OUKITEL U6 Vs YotaPhone 2 – Which One is the Smart Purchase

OUKITEL, is a Chinese startup company that designs and manufactures smart phones and accessories. It’s bringing its unique android mobiles to the public, such as the 4G LTE OUKITEL U8 phones, Octa-Core OUKITEL U10 smart phone with 3G+16G memory, OUKITEL U2 handset with dual 2.5D radian trimming and tempered glass screen and the upcoming OUKITEL U7 4G phone with the world’s lowest price, etc. In addition to these, OUKITEL’s new product OUKITEL U6 is still available to pre-order online, which is the China’s first dual-screen android mobile phone after Russian’s YotaPhone 2 unveiled a few weeks ago. The screens of the two phones are identical in size and resolution. Both 5-inch IPS front display for main screen and 4.7-inch E-ink paper rear display for eye protection back screen. OUKITEL U6 does come with a 2G RAM and 16G ROM, which supports TF card and can be expanded to 64GB storage. YotaPhone 2 features 2GB RAM and 32GB eMMC, no expandable storage. Besides, OUKITEL U6 is slick marketing to US, Europe and more countries, which will be shipped in September. But Yota cancelled US version phone and offered refunds a few weeks ago. The YotaPhone 2 is priced at $695 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.2 GHz quad-core and Android 4.4 system; OUKITEL U6 is priced at $239.99 with MTK6735M 1.3 GHz quad-core and Android 5.1 system. Well, OUKITEL U6 android cell phone cost less than half the price of a YotaPhone 2 in terms of price.

So, which one is in your budget? On my side, spending $239.99 and sacrificing a wee bit of performance will result in a very smart purchase. But shelling out more than &695 on Yota’s flagship offering after one year’s later and even don’t know whether it will be shipped will be a big venture.
